 Wood Thrush
   Hylocichla mustelina

Status:

Uncommon

S

The Wood Thrush has arguably one of the most attractive songs of any species found on campus. Peterson's A Field Guide to the Birds of Eastern and Central North America describes it as "flutelike". The song can be heard most often in the summer months, but the Wood Thrush arrives in spring and leaves in fall like other neotropical migrants.
