Turkey Vultures are commonly seen circling
high above Furman University throughout the year. These birds spend most
of their time soaring in search of carrion, and often
glide over parts of campus. Turkey Vultures do follow migration
routes, and can sometimes be seen circling in groups of 50-60 individuals
in spring and fall. |
