In 2009, the first Chimney Swifts to arrive were recorded on 4/16 near the pond at Furman Golf Course. These birds remain in large numbers throughout the summer, and can be found flying over Furman Lake, the pond at Furman Golf Course, and even most of the intramural and practice fields around campus.
