Technology-Rich Lesson

In class we have explored a variety of ways to use technology for instructional purposes in the Social Studies classroom. (the Internet, WebQuests, etc.) For this assignment, you (and your partner) are to create an instructional lesson using one or more of these aspects of technology. This lesson should do whatever possible to engage students and have them actively participating during this lesson.

This lesson can extend over several class periods, but should be limited to a single area of focus. (i.e. not an entire unit) The technology should be integrated as seamlessly as possible into the lesson and should not simply be "technology for technology's sake."

You also need to create some actual technology component to present your lesson (i.e. a web page, Powerpoint presentation, digital movie, etc.)

This assignment will be due Feb. 19

Lesson Requirements: (100 points total)

I. (50 points)The lesson itself which should include

II. (30 points) Appropriate Use of Technology in lesson

III. (20 points) Presentation

You will have time in class Feb. 12 and Feb. 17 to work on this assignment, so please use your time wisely!
