ETSU Volleyball defeats Furman 3-1
East Tennessee State senior Natalie Barrett tallied 15 kills and three service aces to lead the Buc in a 9-15, 15-13, 16-14, 15-8 win against Furman at ETSU's Brooks Gym.
Senior Alice Arnold and sophomore Amber Ciskowski both had 13 kills for ETSU. Sophomore Carey Cavanaugh had 43 assists, 12 digs and seven kills.
Furman was led by Laura Bush, who had a game-high 18 kills in 30 attempts (.467 hitting percentage). The Paladin offense was sparked by sophomore Laura Hooks' 46 assists.
With the win, ETSU improves to 16-8 overall, 11-4 in the Southern Conference, while Furman falls to 15-12 overall and 11-5 in the league.
