FURMAN IMPROVES TO 14-11, 10-4 WITH WIN OVER THE CITADEL
GREENVILLE, South Carolina -- The Lady Palidin volleyball team defeated The Citadel 3-0 Sunday in Timmons Arena.
Furman's Amber VandeStreek posted 11 kills with a hitting percentage of .588 to lead the Lady Paladins offensively, while Freshman Carrie Rowley added seven kills and seven digs in the match. Sophomore Laura Hooks led the squad with a team high hitting percentage of .800. Furman hit .457 for the match with a total of four team blocks.
The Citadel was led by Nicole Mantu with six kills and four digs, A.J. Watson added five digs defensively for the bulldogs. The Citadel hit .016, with one team block in the match.
Furman improves its overall record to 15-11, and 11-4 in the Southern Conference.
