FURMAN FALLS 3-0 TO UW-MILWAUKEE


TAMPA, Florida -- Furman's Lady Paladin volleyball team slipped to 0-2 on the season Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 (15-5, 15-2, 15-8) loss to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee at the South Florida Invitational.

Chrissy Schurla led the Panthers with 13 kills, while Laura Dallenbach added 12 and a team-high .379 hitting percentage. In addition, the UM-W tallied eight team blocks and managed 10 aces.

The Lady Paladins were paced by sophomore Laura Bush, who recorded 10 kills and a .471 hitting percentage. Junior setter Laura Hooks totaled 24 assists,w hile leading the team with 10 digs and hitting .333 with three kills.

Furman will face Boston College at 7 p.m. Saturday night in the final game of the University of South Florida Invitational.
