ROCK HILL, South Carolina -- Furman's Lady Paladin volleyball team fell to 0-4 on the year with a 3-2 loss to Winthrop in Rock Hill on Tuesday night.

Sophomore Abby Simon and freshman Amber Montague each totaled 15 kills, but it was not enough to overcome Winthrop's 9.5 team blocks, or Furman's hitting woes, which resulted in a .127 attack percentage on the night.

With the loss, the Lady Paladins fall to 0-4 on the year, while Winthrop improves to 3-1. The Lady Paladins are in action again this weekend, at the Kansas Jayhawk Invitational in Lawrence, Kansas.
