LADY PALADINS EVEN RECORD WITH 3-0 WIN OVER UNC ASHEVILLE
GREENVILLE, South Carolina -- The Lady Paladin volleyball team moved to 9-9 on the year Wednesday night in Timmons Arena with a 30-24, 30-24, 30-28 victory over the Bulldogs of UNC Asheville.
Freshman Ally Hock (Oviedo, Fla.) recorded a team-high 12 kills and a .500 hitting percentage to pace the Lady Paladins, while Amber Montague (Plano, Texas) and Whitney Purser (Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla.) each added 11. Montague also tallied a Furman-best 14 digs and served up four aces on the night. Sophomore middle hitter Caitlin White (Grand Rapids, Mich.) recorded three blocks to pace the Paladins’ net defense.
The Bulldogs of UNC Asheville were paced by Frida Sigurdardottir’s 11 kills and Talia Ogle’s 10 digs, but fell to 5-5 on the season with the loss.
The Lady Paladins will host The Citadel Friday night in a 7 p.m. match, followed on Saturday by a 2 p.m. contest against reigning Southern Conference Champion, the College of Charleston.
