Lady Paladin Volleyball Tops Chattanooga 3-1

GREENVILLE, South Carolina -- Laura Bush led five Lady Paladins with double-digit kills with 19 as Furman defeated Chattanooga 30-24, 28-30, 31-29, 30-18 in volleyball action at Timmons Arena Saturday afternoon.

Bush (Kingsport, Tenn.) tallied 11 digs and three service aces to go with her team-high 19 kills. Senior Abby Simon (Simpsonville, S.C.) contributed 16 kills and 16 digs in the Lady Paladin victory.

Chattanooga, 4-11 overall and 1-4 in the Southern Conference, were led by junior Kari Krouse's 13 kills and 16 digs.Kelley Smith and Kelly Ramsay also contributed six block assists each for the Lady Mocs.

The victory, Furman's fourth straight in Southern Conference play, moves the Lady paladins to 9-8 overall and 4-1 in the SoCon.

Furman returns to action Tuesday hosting the Wofford Terriers in a 7:00p.m. match at Timmons Arena.
