LADY PALADIN VOLLEYBALL OPENS 2002 HOME SLATE WITH HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS DOWNTOWN INVITATIONAL

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman volleyball opens its 2002 home schedule this weekend when the Lady Paladins host the Holiday Inn Express Downtown Invitational.

Tournament action at Timmons Arena begins Friday at 5:00 p.m. with Ohio vs. UNC Wilmington followed by Furman vs. Gardner-Webb at 7:00 p.m. The Holiday Inn Downtown Invitational concludes Saturday with four matches beginning with Furman vs. UNC Wilmington at 11:00 a.m.

The Lady Paladins, 2-2, opened the 2002 season by splitting four matches at the William and Mary Invitational in Williamsburg, Va., last weekend. Furman claimed victories over Radford and East Carolina while dropping contests versus Fresno State and William and Mary.
