FURMAN'S BUSH NAMED SOUTHERN CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OFTHE WEEK

GREENVILLE, South Carolina -- Furman middle blocker Laura Bush has been named Southern Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for September 23.

Bush recorded 39 kills in three matches, averaging 3.90 kills with a .387 hitting percentage. She also had 30 digs and four service aces in three matches in which Furman went 3-0 over Southern Conference opponents UNC Greensboro, College of Charleston and The Citadel.

Bush, a 6š0 senior middle blocker from Kingsport, TN, tallied 17 kills in the victory over College of Charles-ton which moved her into fifth place on Furmanšs all-time kills list with 1,145.

The Lady Paladins host Clemson in a 7:00p.m. contest Tuesday before returning to SoCon action against Chattanooga on Saturday afternoon at Timmons Arena.
