FURMAN'S JILL BRALEY NAMED RUNNER OF THE WEEK

Furman's Jill Braley was named Southern Conference Cross Country Runner of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday, Sept. 12.

Voted on by the league cross country coaches, Braley's Runner of the Week Award is the second of her career and first of her senior season. Braley ran a career-best 17:49 in the Catamount Invitational 5K last week, which ranks sixth all-time in the history of that invitational. A senior from Marietta, Ga., Braley made the switch from soccer to running last season, and is currently the top ranked women's runner in the Southern Conference.
