59TH-RANKED FURMAN WOMEN'S TENNIS TRAVELS TO CHICAGO FOR SHOWDOWNS AGAINST NORTHWESTERN, DEPAUL

GREENVILLE, S.C.-- The 59th-ranked Furman women's tennis team will face two tough opponents this weekend when the Lady Paladins face the No. 16 ranked Northwestern Wildcats and the DePaul Blue Demons in Chicago, Ill. The meetings against Northwestern and DePaul mark the first matches played between Furman and the two schools.

The defending Southern Conference champion Lady Paladins are coming off a season-opening weekend during which they suffered a 7-0 setback to third-ranked Georgia and defeated a tough Illinois State squad, 5-2.

After Furman faces the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, the Lady Paladins will square off against DePaul at 11:00 a.m. EST on Saturday.
