SEVEN FURMAN TENNIS PLAYERS NAMED TO ITA'S DIVISION ONE ALL-SCHOLAR TEAM;
LADY PALADIN TEAM LAUDED

GREENVILLE, South Carolina - Seven Furman men's and women's tennis players have been honored as Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athletes - three on the men's team and four on the women's team. In addition, the Lady Paladins were named an All-Academic team for the 2002-03 school year.

The ITA Scholar Athlete team is made up of Division I players who are varsity letterwinners with a grade point average of at least 3.5, and have been at their present school for at least two semesters. Art Baker, James Cameron, and Kevin Lackey earned Scholar Athlete accolades for the Paladins, while Lady Paladins Krista Thomson, Shellie Cochran, Mary Neill Hagood, and Natalie The were honored on the womenıs side.

In addition, the Lady Paladin squad earned All-Academic, which is awarded to teams whose cumulative grade point average is 3.20 or above.
