FURMAN WOMEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO 28TH-RANKED GEORGIA TECH, 6-1

GREENVILLE, S.C.-- The 72nd-ranked Furman women's tennis team dropped to 4-7 on the year when the Lady Paladins were defeated by 28th-ranked Georgia Tech 6-1 this afternoon at Mickel Tennis Center.

After sweeping Furman in doubles action, Georgia Tech won five of six singles matches to clinch the win. The lone Lady Paladin victory came at No. 3 singles, where Natalie The earned a 6-3, 6-1 triumph against Georgia Tech's Lyndsay Shosho.

Furman will next face East Tennessee State on March 12 in Johnson City, Tenn. The match is slated to begin at 2:00 p.m.
