FURMAN WOMEN'S TENNIS DOWNS COLORADO STATE 4-3

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO.--- The 64th ranked Furman women's tennis team defeated Colorado State 4-3 on Thursday to improve to 3-5 on the season.

Furman claimed the doubles point as the Lady Paladins swept all three doubles matches. The No. 1 doubles team of Mary Kovarik and Mary Neill Hagood led the way with an 8-5 victory at No. 1 singles.

Furman then went on to claim three out of six singles matches to claim the 4-3 victory. Furman's Natalie The (No. 3 singles), Caroline Bentley (No. 4 singles), and Shellie Cochran (No. 5 singles) each tallied victories for Furman.

Furman will take on the Air Force Academy on Friday and Denver on Saturday to round out its spring break trip to Colorado Springs.
