FURMAN'S MEGAN DUNIGAN EARNS PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONOR

ASHEVILLE, NC -- The Southern Conference has announced that Furman's Megan Dunigan has been named the Women's Tennis Player of the Week for March 26.

A senior from Oak Ridge, TN, Dunigan picked up three conference wins last week and went 4-0 overall. She started the week with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over UNCG's Sonia Orellana on March 19 followed by a 6-0, 6-3 win over Tammy Beaulieu of Appalachian State on March 20. Dunigan then defeated Wofford's Wendy Rohr 6-0, 6-1 on March 22, winning her 70th career match and becoming the Lady Paladins' all-time winningest singles player. She wrapped up the week with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Dartmouth's Sarita Yardi on March 24.

Dunigan is currently 16-0 on the season, 71-18 overall, and ranked 62nd in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings. She has led the Lady Paladins to 35 straight conference wins.
