FOUR RANKED TEAMS TO COMPETE IN FALL CLASSIC THIS WEEKEND

GREENVILLE, South Carolina--Four teams and three individuals ranked in the top 40 will highlight the field at the 14th annual Furman Fall Classic tennis tournament, slated for this weekend at the Mickel Tennis Center on the campus of Furman University.

The Classic, which includes players from Furman, Clemson, Middle Tennessee State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Iowa, South Carolina, and Wisconsin, includes eight singles flights and four doubles flights. Play will begin at 9:00 Friday morning with one round of singles, followed by two rounds of doubles starting at 1:00 p.m. Saturday's singles matches are scheduled to kick off at 9:00 a.m., and the doubles championships will be held starting at 1:00 p.m. The singles finals will begin on Sunday at 9:00 a.m.

Last year's tournament was dominated by the Vanderbilt Lady Commodores, who took five of the seven singles flights and all three doubles flights.
