FURMAN DOWNS GEORGIA STATE 5-2 IN WOMEN'S TENNIS

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Furman's Lady Paladin tennis team improved to 13-8 on the season with a 5-2 victory over Georgia State Saturday at the Minor Mickel Tennis Center.

After capturing the doubles point with wins at numbers two and three, the Lady Paladins claimed victory at singles numbers one, three, five, and six for the 5-2 decision.

Megan Dunigan picked up a 6-1, 6-4 win over Mable Abraham at number one, while Natalie The claimed a 6-4, 6-4 win at number three, Emelie Isaksson shutout Birgitte Blomberg with a 6-0, 6-0 win at number five, and Shellie Cochran grabbed a 6-1, 6-0 victory in the six spot.

Furman, 7-0 in the Southern Conference, will host league foe Georgia Southern Sunday at noon.
