TUCSON, Arizona -- Junior Megan Dunigan posted a 6-2, 7-6 victory over Arizona's Michelle Gough, but it was not enough for Furman to overcome the Wildcats in a 6-1 decision Wednesday in Tucson.

Gough, ranked 59th as a singles player in NCAA Division I tennis, teamed with Sophie Regnier at number one doubles to upend Dunigan and teammate Meredith Moore 8-5. Arizona also won at numbers two and three doubles to take an early lead in the match.

The Wildcats went on to win singles matches at two through six, though Gene Holman and Emelie Isaksson each dropped a set by a 7-6 score.

Furman will face Arizona State's Sun Devils on March 1 at 1:30 p.m.
