FURMAN WOMEN'S TENNIS DROPS UNCG 7-0 IN SOCON OPENER

Greensboro, N.C.- The Furman women's tennis team handily defeated the UNCG Spartans 7-0 in women's tennis action today in Greensboro. The win moves the Lady Paladins to 5-6 on the season and 1-0 in the Southern Conference.

Lady Paladins Megan Dunigan, Meredith Moore, Gene Holman, Emelie Isaksson, Natalie The, and Krista Thomson won all six singles matches in straight sets. Furman was also victorious in two of three doubles matches to earn the doubles point.

The lone Furman setback came at No. 3 doubles, where Thomson and Shellie Cochran were defeated 8-6 by UNCG's Lindsey Peel and Christine Weber.

Furman will look to continue its success on Friday, March 16 as it hosts TCU at 2:30 p.m. in Greenville.
