FURMAN WOMEN'S TENNIS DROPS 7-0 DECISION TO NO. 31 TEXAS CHRISTIAN

Greenville, S.C.- The Furman University women's tennis team, playing its sixth highly ranked opponent in twelve matches, dropped a 7-0 decision to No. 31 Texas Christian Friday at Mickel Tennis Center. The loss moves the Lady Paladins to 5-7 on the year, while TCU is now 8-3.

The Horned Frogs opened up the match by taking two of three doubles matches, thus earning TCU the doubles point. Furman's one bright spot on the day came at No. 1 doubles, where Lady Paladins Gene Holman and Natalie The overcame a 5-2 deficit to rob TCU's Katrin Gaber and Karolina Roubickova 7-6(2).

TCU then went on to sweep the Lady Paladins in six straight-set singles victories to earn the 7-0 triumph.

The Lady Paladins will attempt to bounce back tomorrow as Appalachian State pays Furman a visit at Mickel Tennis Center. The match is set to begin at 1:30 pm.
