FURMAN'S MEGAN DUNIGAN NAMED SOCON PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Furman's Megan Dunigan has been selected as the Southern Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for March 13.

A junior from Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Dunigan won two matches last week as the Lady Paladins went 1-1. She recorded a 6-1, 6-2 win over N.C. State's Jacki Leskover on March 10 and a 6-2, 6-0 win over SoCon opponent Christine Weber from UNCG. Dunigan has won five of her last six matches, including a win over No. 59 Michelle Gough of Arizona.

Dunigan and the rest of the Lady Paladins hope to continue their success as Furman faces TCU, Appalachian State, and Western Michigan at home this weekend.
