GREENVILLE, S.C.- Furman women's tennis standout Megan Dunigan was named to the 2001 Verizon Academic All-District III Women's University Spring At-Large First Team today. The honor, which encompasses all spring sports, makes Dunigan eligible to become a member of the Verizon Academic All-America Team.

Dunigan, a native of Oak Ridge, Tenn., currently holds a 3.75 grade point average and is double majoring in math and computer science.

The junior Lady Paladin had an outstanding season as she led Furman to its fourth consecutive Southern Conference tournament crown. She is a three-time league player of the year and was honored as the Southern Conference tournament¹s Most Outstanding Player. Dunigan garnered a 19-3 overall record this year and went 10-0 in league competition.
