FURMAN FALLS TO NO.3 RANKED FLORIDA IN SEASON OPENER

GAINESVILLE, FL-- Furman was shutout by the third-ranked University of Florida men's tennis team on Saturday, 7-0, at the Ring Tennis Complex in Gainesville, Fla. With the win, the Gators improved to 4-0 while Furman dropped its first match of the year.

Florida grabbed the early lead capturing the doubles point with all three doubles victories and never looked back. Florida finished the day winning all six singles matches in straight sets.

Furman travels to Birmingham, AL on Friday to take on the Blazers of UAB. Match begins at 1:00 p.m.
