BIRMINGHAM, ALA..---The Furman Paladins defeated Samford 7-0 in men's tennis action at the Samford Tennis Complex on Tuesday. Furman improves to 4-4 on the season, while The Bulldogs dropped to 1-7 on the season.
Furman was led by James Cameron at No. 1 singles as he downs Travis Johnson 6-2, 6-1. Furman swept all six singles in straight sets.
In doubles action, Furman won all three matches to claim the doubles point, including a 8-2 victory at No. 1 doubles.
Furman, ranked 63rd in the nation, will take on 41st ranked Florida State on Thursday in Tallahassee.
