FURMAN TENNIS PROGRAMS SET FOR SPRING BREAK ROAD MATCHES

GREENVILLE, S.C.-- The 62nd-ranked Furman women's tennis team and 63rd-ranked men's team will have quite the busy spring break as the two tennis programs will hit the road for some key matches during the week of February 23-March 2.

The women will not play until Thursday February 27 when the Lady Paladins (2-5) travel to the United States Air Force Academy to face the Colorado State Rams at 12:00 p.m. EST. Furman will then stay in Colorado Springs for matches against the homestanding Air Force Falcons (2:00 p.m. EST) and the Denver Pioneers (8:00 p.m. EST). While the Lady Paladins have never faced Air Force or Denver, Furman does hold a 1-0 series edge against Colorado State.

The Furman men (3-2), meanwhile, will play five matches during the coming week. The Paladins will start with matches against No. 16 South Carolina (10:00 a.m.) and USC Aiken (5:00 p.m.) in Columbia on Sunday, followed by a showdown against 35th-ranked Georgia Tech at 2:00 p.m. in Atlanta on Monday. After Furman travels to Birmingham, Ala. to square off against Samford at 3:30 p.m. EST on Tuesday, the Paladins will end their road trip with a match against 41st-ranked Florida State in Tallahassee, Fla. on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. EST.
