FURMAN'S JAMES CAMERON NAMED SOCON MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER-OF-THE-WEEK

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- The Southern Conference announced today that Furman's James Cameron has been named the men's tennis player-of-the-week.

A senior from Harare, Zimbabwe, Cameron went 3-0 in conference action last week at No. 1 singles. He started the week with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 win over East Tennessee State's Marcos Pavlovich on April 1 before topping UNC Greensboro's Julio Moran 6-3, 6-1 on April 5. Cameron finished the week with a 6-2, 7-5 win over Davidson's Rob Haywood on April 6.

Cameron and fellow senior Chris Henderson will be honored on Saturday when the Paladins host Chattanooga in the final home match of the season at 1:30 p.m.
