ASHEVILLE, NC -- The Southern Conference today announced that Furman's Chris Henderson and East Tennessee State's Roberto Fernandez were named the SoCon Men's Tennis Co-Players of the Week for April 9.

Henderson, a junior from Jacksonville, Fla., tallied a 3-0 record last week, including two conference wins. He started the week with a 7-6, 6-1 win over Wofford's Brett Johnson on April 3 before coming from behind to defeat Chattanooga's Thomas Knizat 6-7, 7-6, 6-1. Henderson concluded the week with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Scott Schnugg of the 56th ranked Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

The Paladins will host arch-rival East Tennessee State on Wednesday at Mickel Tennis Center. The match is slated to begin at 3:00 p.m.
