NATIONALLY RANKED FURMAN DEFEATS CITADEL, 6-1

Charleston, S.C.- The No. 72 Furman Paladins defeated The Citadel Bulldogs, 6-1, in Southern Conference tennis action Friday afternoon at the Earle Tennis Center.

After dispensing The Citadel's hopes of winning a doubles match, Furman won five of six singles matches to easily defeat the Bulldogs. The Paladins received outstanding play from James Cameron, Patrick Fillnow, and Chris Henderson. All three contributed to Furman's victory by winning both his respective singles and doubles matches.

Furman moves to 1-0 in Southern Conference play and 6-3 overall, while The Citadel, now with a 3-3 overall record, fell to 0-3 in the Southern Conference with the loss.
