Greenville, S.C. -- Furman sophomore Lee Nickell is ranked 30th in Region II in the 1998 Fall Rankings administered by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
Nickell, from Dunwoody, Ga., finished the fall season with a 5-6 record. He played No. 3 for the 1998 Southern Conference champion team a year and finished with a 10-15 record. He will be expected to play No. 1 this season.
Furman opens its season on February 5 in the Furman Shootout against Emory, S.C. State, Presbyterian, and Erskine.
