GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Southern Conference men's tennis coahes tabbed Furman as the favorite to win the 1998 tennis season. Furman received seven of ten first place votes and garnered 96 points. The Paladins, who edged out Davidson and East Tennessee State for the 1997 tournament title, beat out those same teams in this year's preseason ballot.
