Hacker Named SoCon Pitcher of the Week

ASHEVILLE, N.C. Furmans Chrissy Hacker was named the Southern Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played April 2-8.

A senior from Miami, FL, Hacker led the Lady Paladins to a 5-0 record last week, including a three-game sweep of ETSU. Hacker pitched two complete game shutouts, including a no-hitter against ETSU. She recorded six strikeouts and no walks in game one against the Lady Bucs and was one pitch from a perfect game as she hit an ETSU player in the second inning. Hacker picked up her third win of the week when she pitched the Lady Paladins out of a 2-2 tie with ETSU on April 8, giving Furman the 3-2 win. She gave up no earned

runs and struck out 11 on the week. Hacker also batted .600 last week.
