LADY PALADINS SET TO HOST WOFFORD IN KEY SOUTHERN CONFERENCE MATCH

GREENVILLE - Furman women's soccer, ranked 10th in the latest Soccer Buzz Southeast Region poll, will play host to Wofford in a key Southern Conference match Wednesday beginning at 7:00p.m. at Eugene Stone Soccer Stadium.

The Lady Paladins enter the match at 11-4-2 overall and 8-0-1 in league play, while Wofford is 7-6-2 overall and 5-3-2 in the Southern Conference. With a win Wednesday, Furman can clinch its fifth consecutive Southern Conference regular season title and wrap up the number one seed for the SoCon Tournament scheduled for November 6-9, in Greensboro, N.C.

Furman comes into the Wofford game riding a 22-match Southern Conference unbeaten streak, one win short of a new conference record, and a current 10-match overall unbeaten streak. The Lady Paladins hold a 7-3 edge in the all-time series with Wofford and have won six straight versus the Terriers.

Forward Andre'a Morrison continues to pace the Lady Paladins having scored seven goals in her last three matches, including a hat trick in a 6-1 win over Western Carolina on October 15. Morrison, who ranks second in the SoCon with 10 goals on the season, earned Southern Conference Player of the Week honors this week after scoring four total goals in back-to-back 3-0 wins versus Elon and Davidson.

Wednesday's match will mark Senior Night for Furman's Emily Turgeon, Danielle Petro and Melissa Vogel.
