FURMAN WOMEN'S SOCCER RANKED NINTH IN SOUTHEAST REGION

GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman women's soccer team is ranked ninth in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Southeast Region poll released on Monday.

Furman is also tenth in the Soccer Buzz regional poll. Furman rises in the poll after defeating Wofford 3-2 and Appalachian State 1-0 last week in Southern Conference action.

Furman won the Southern Conference regular season for the fifth straight year. The Lady Paladins are riding a school record 12-match unbeaten streak and recently set a Southern Conference record as they extended their SoCon unbeaten streak to 24 matches.

The Lady Paladins are 13-4-2 on the season and will face Western Carolina on Thursday at 11:00 a.m., in the first round of the SoCon Tournament in Greensboro, N.C.
