FURMAN SOCCER SET TO HOST TUESDAY NIGHT DOUBLEHEADER

GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman men's soccer team will host Southern Conference rival Wofford at 5:00p.m., while the women's team will battle Clemson at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Eugene Stone III Soccer Stadium.

The Paladins, 2-5-3 overall and 0-0-2 in the Southern Conference, are coming off of a 1-1 tie at UNC Greensboro on Saturday. The draw extended Furman' SoCon unbeaten streak to 45 matches. Tuesday night's match will be the 28th meeting between the Paladins and Terriers. Furman holds a 23-3-1 advantage in the series.

The Lady Paladins enter their match with Clemson at 7-4-0 overall and a perfect 4-0 in SoCon play. Furman downed Charlotte 2-1 Saturday night in a non-conference match in Charlotte, N.C.

The Tigers hold a 7-0 lead in the all-time series with Furman and are currently ranked fifth in the latest NSCAA Southeast Region poll.

"This is our last non-conference game of the season and will give us a good test going into the stretch run," said Furman head coach Brian Lee.

The Lady Paladins will be back in action again on Friday when they travel to face the College of Charleston at 7:00 p.m.
