EMILY TURGEON NAMED SOUTHERN CONFERENCE PLAYER-OF-THE-WEEK FOR SECOND STRAIGHT WEEK

GREENVILLE, SC --For the second week in a row, Furman junior Emily Turgeon was named Southern Conference Player-of-the-Week on Tuesday.

Turgeon helped Furman to two SoCon wins over Wofford and Georgia Southern. Turgeon scored the game-winning goal in both matches and added an assist against Georgia Southern. Turgeon currently leads the conference with 12 goals on the season and ranks 23rd in the nation in points per match and 27th in goals per match.

Furman returns to action on Wednesday as it travels to Davidson for a 7:00 p.m match. The Lady Paladins can clinch at least a share of the SoCon title with a victory.

Turgeon was also named SoCon Player-of-the-Week last week as she scored three goals in two conference matches, including the overtime game-winner at Western Carolina.
