FURMAN SET TO HOST LANDROVER/UMBRO KICKOFF CLASSIC THIS WEEKEND

GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman women's soccer team will host the LandRover/Umbro Kickoff Classic this weekend, as Coastal Carolina, Georgetown, and Wofford will visit Eugene Stone III Soccer Stadium.

Furman is currently 1-1 on the season after defeating Morehead State 7-0 and losing to No. 15 Auburn 2-0. Coastal Carolina is 2-0-1 on the season, with wins over South Carolina State and Appalachian State. Georgetown is 1-3, after defeating Howard and No. 24 James Madison. Southern Conference foe Wofford is 0-2-1 on the season.

"We have four great teams here this weekend," said Head coach Brian Lee. "I am very excited to see these other schools, and I hope that we will be able to play with a lot of enthusiasm and intensity."

The tournament will begin on Friday evening at 5:00 with Coastal Carolina vs. Wofford, followed by Furman vs. Georgetown at 7:30. On Sunday, Georgetown will play Wofford at 12:00 and Furman will host Coastal Carolina at 2:30.
