FURMAN WOMEN'S SOCCER ANNOUNCES HOME MATCH PROMOTIONS AT FOUR MATCHES

GREENVILLE, SC -- Furman women's soccer coach Brian Lee announced four major home match promotions on Tuesday. Two local soccer clubs, Greenville Futbol Club (GFC) and St. Giles United, as well as the Girl Scouts of America and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will be recognized at specific matches this season.

Furman's home opener, scheduled for Thursday against Auburn will be Greenville Futbol Club (GFC) night. All GFC members will receive complimentary admission and be recognized at halftime.

In addition, Furman's September 24 match against South Carolina is St. Giles United club night, the September 27th match against Appalachian State is Girls Scouts of America night, while the October 3rd contest with Charlotte is FCA night.

In each match, members of that specific group will receive complimentary admission. As a part of FCA night, all local high school FCA's will be invited to the match and will be served dinner prior to the match. Following the match, Furman's FCA will hold its weekly meeting at Eugene Stone Soccer Stadium.

"One of our primary goals this season is to get involved with the community," said Furman head coach Brian Lee. "We have done a good job of doing that in the past, but this year we want to step it up a notch. I believe these four events plus our community service project with Berea High School will help us to accomplish this goal."
