FURMAN WOMENıS SOCCER TO HOST GEORGIA SOUTHERN

GREENVILLE -- The Furman women's soccer team will host Georgia Southern on Friday night at 7:00 at Eugene Stone Soccer Stadium. Tickets are $3 for adults and $1 for children.

Furman enters the match with an 8-5-1 overall record and the Lady Paladins sit alone atop the SoCon standings with a 6-0 league mark. Georgia Southern is currently in second place in the Southern Conference with a 5-1-1 mark and is 9-3-1 overall.

"This is a key match in this yearıs Southern Conference race," said Furman head coach Brian Lee. "This is the third straight match that we have played a team that was in second place in the conference."

Furman's Emily Turgeon leads the Southern Conference in scoring with 11 goals and 5 assists on the year. Amanda Bernard leads Georgia Southern with eight goals and two assists on the season.

Georgia Southern leads the all-time series 8-6, but Furman has won each of the last five matches dating back to 1998.
