FURMAN WOMEN'S SOCCER TRAVELS TO FACE #19 CLEMSON

GREENVILLE -- The Furman women's soccer team will travel to face 19th ranked Clemson Tuesday at Riggs Field in Clemson. Clemson is the third ranked foe Furman will face this season and the second within the last week.

The Lady Paladins enter the contest with a 5-4-1 overall record and a 3-0 Southern Conference mark. Junior forward Emily Turgeon leads the Lady Paladins with seven goals and five assists for 19 points. Furman dropped a 3-2 decision to 17th ranked Charlotte last week before rebounding to defeat The Citadel 9-0.

Clemson is 7-4 overall and 2-1 in the ACC. The Lady Tigers defeated Duke 3-2 in overtime last week. Heather Beem and Deliah Arrington each have seven goals on the year for the Lady Tigers.

"We played our best match of the year against Charlotte last week," said Furman head coach Brian Lee. "If we play at that level, it should be an exciting match on Tuesday. Clemson is a very talented team, especially up front with their forwards."
