FURMAN WOMEN'S SOCCER

CLEMSON, SC -- The Furman women's soccer team lost 1-0 to 19th ranked Clemson Tuesday night at Riggs Field.

Clemson's Deliah Arrington scored at the 82:40 mark to give Clemson the victory. The play was set up as Jenny Anderson crossed a ball into the box and Heather Beem headed the ball to Arrington immediately in front of the box.

Furman and Clemson battled back and forth for the majority of the match, with Clemson outshooting Furman 12-7.

"This was a good, competitive match," said Furman head coach Brian Lee. "Clemson is a solid Top 20 Team, but we didn't play the way we wanted to play tonight."

Furman falls to 5-5-1 on the season and will travel to Chattanooga to face Chattanooga Friday at 6:00. Clemson improves to 8-4 on the season.
