FURMAN WOMEN'S SOCCER TO HOST #17 CHARLOTTE ON FCA NIGHT

GREENVILLE -- The Furman women's soccer team will host 17th ranked Charlotte Thursday at 7:00 at Eugene Stone Soccer Stadium as a part of FCA Night. Tickets are $3 for adults and $1 for children.

Local high school FCA's will be in attendance along with members of Furman University's Fellowship of Christian Athletes huddle. Following the conclusion of the match, Furman's FCA will hold its weekly meeting featuring women's soccer player Nancy Mather and Christian recording artist Chris Rice. All FCA members will receive complimentary admission.

The Lady Paladins enter the contest with a 4-3-1 overall record and a 2-0 Southern Conference mark. Junior forward Emily Turgeon leads the Lady Paladins with six goals and three assists for 15 points.

Charlotte enters with an 8-0-1 record and a national ranking of 17th by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Charlotte has claimed victories this season over South Carolina, Miami, and Florida State.

"This will be a tough test for us," said Furman head coach Brian Lee. "Charlotte is having a great season. I am looking for our team to come out and play with a lot more enthusiasm and heart tomorrow night."
