EMILY TURGEON NAMED EARNS SECOND TEAM ALL-SOUTH HONORS
GREENVILLE,
SC -- Furman junior Emily Turgeon was selected to the NSCAA (National Soccer
Coaches Association of America) All-South Region second team this week,
Turgeon led Furman and the Southern Conference in scoring with 16 goals and
eight assists for 40 points. Turgeon, the 2000 and 2002 Southern Conference
Player-of-the-Year, was also a second team NSCAA All-South pick in 2000.
Furman finished the season with a 16-6-1 overall record as it claimed its fourth
straight Southern Conference regular season title, its second SoCon Tournament
title, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in four seasons.
