FURMAN WOMEN'S SOCCER TO FACE AUBURN IN SEASON HOME OPENER

GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman women's soccer team is set to face Auburn in its season home opener on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. at Eugene Stone Soccer Stadium.

The Lady Paladins are coming off of a 7-0 victory over Morehead State this past weekend at the College of Charleston Tournament. Furman's second match against Loyola was cancelled due to weather. Six Lady Paladins scored against Morehead State, including two goals from junior Emily Turgeon in the opening five minutes.

Auburn is currently 2-0 with victories over West Virginia and Evansville. The Lady Tigers are currently ranked seventh in both the NSCAA Southeast Regional Poll and the Soccer Buzz Southeast Regional Poll.

"We are looking forward to our home opener against a quality opponent from the Southeastern Conference," said Lee. "We love the atmosphere of Eugene Stone Stadium, and we are expecting a great crowd for tomorrow night's match."

With the win against Morehead State, head coach Brian Lee earned his 100th career victory.
