FURMAN'S TURNER NAMED TO NSCAA ALL-SOUTHEAST TEAM

GREENVILLE, SC -- Furman women's soccer standout Melissa Turner was honored Thursday as a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Southeast Region third team.

Senior forward Melissa Turner is making her third straight region team appearance as she was a second team choice in 1999 and 2000. Turner led the team in scoring in 2001 as she tallied 14 goals and six assists for 34 points. She is Furman's all-time leading scorer with 50 goals and 34 assists for 134 points.

Furman finished the season 13-7-1 and won its third straight Southern Conference regular season championship.
