GREENVILLE, SC -- Senior captain Melissa Turner earned Southern Conference Player-of-the-Week honors this week after notching a hat-trick in the final 20 minutes in a 3-1 win over Coastal Carolina and recording an assist on the equalizing goal in a 2-1 victory over Vanderbilt.

For Turner, it was her fourth career hat-trick and marked record a record-setting week as she became the Lady Paladins' all-time leader in goals and assists, passing 2000 graduate Melissa Sutton.

"I'm excited for Melissa," said head coach Brian Lee. "Her performance this week was a testament to what kind of player she is and showed how deserving she is of such recognition."

Turner has started all 71 of Furman's matches in her career and has recorded 39 goals and 29 assists for 107 points.
