FURMAN'S DANIELLE PETRO NAMED SOCON PLAYER-OF-THE-WEEK

GREENVILLE, SC -- Furman sophomore forward Danielle Petro earned Southern Conference Player-of-the-Week honors this week for her four-goal performance in a 9-0 win over Wofford on Saturday.

Petro's performance tied a Furman women's soccer single game record for goals in a match.

"I'm excited for Danielle earning this honor," said head coach Brian Lee. "She is a great offensive threat, and she showed that in the Wofford match."

Petro is currently leading the Lady Paladins in scoring with 11 goals and two assists for 24 points. She has amassed 26 goals and ten assists for 62 points in her brief career at Furman.

Furman is currently 7-3-1 on the season and ranked eighth in the NSCAA Southeast Region.
