FURMAN'S CARSON RANKS IN NATIONAL STATISTICS

GREENVILLE, SC -- Furman freshman women's soccer player Katie Carson is currently second in the nation in assists in the official NCAA Women's Soccer Statistics released on Tuesday.

Carson, a freshman from Greensboro, N.C., has recorded five assists in her first five matches this season. She is seventh in the nation in assists per match. Carson is third on the Lady Paladins in scoring with one goal and five assists for seven points. She is leading the Southern Conference in assists and is third in the conference in points.

Furman, off to its best start in school history, is 4-1 on the season and ranked seventh in the Southeast Region in both the Soccer Buzz and NSCAA polls.

In Southern Conference statistics, Furman's Melissa Turner, Kaye Brownlee, and Katie Carson are 1-2-3 in points.
